The world's largest museum for Johann Sebastian Bach

In Johann Sebastian Bach's birthplace you can encounter the life and work of the composer in a unique way. Hourly live concerts on historical instruments, more than 250 exhibits, historical living rooms, an atmospheric baroque garden and a "walk-in music piece" are waiting for your visit.

Bach's birthplace is home to the largest Bach Museum of the world: historical living rooms from Bach's time give an insight into the life of middle-class families around 1700. The neighbouring, award-winning new building is dedicated to Bach's music in an exciting multimedia exhibition.

Here, floating "bubble chairs" and the "walk-in piece of music" invite you to enjoy extraordinary music. A special extra: in the instrument hall, all visitors experience a small live concert on baroque keyboard instruments. In the baroque garden and in the "Café Kantate" you can spend a wonderful time afterwards. In short: the Bach Museum in Eisenach is worth a convincing recommendation.
